Just a few things

I still don't have enough time to say what I want to say about Fall Break, so I'll hold off until I do. I have a few mintues before I have to leave for work, so I thought I would get a few things out while I have the chance. I'm not going to make any big confessions or anything. It's just some things about what's happening in my life right now that a couple of you may want to know about.

Number One: Graduate school is not for me. I'm seriously thinking that this may be my first and last semester here at WKU. And I seriously think it's because I have too much going on to dedicate myself to the coursework like I should. My dream would be to only work next semester and save up enough so that I could return to school in the fall and not have to work. I don't know if this will happen, but it would be nice and extremely helpful to my GPA.

Number Two: I'm writing a novel. In November. One of my friends (thanks Mike) turned me on to a Web site where you sign up to finish a 50,000 word novel written entirely during the month of November, so I am now a NaNoWriMo participant. In order to be able to do this, I'm giving up anything remotely fun that I've done in the past. No more TV, no more going out, no more movies, no more etc. At least until December. I hope I can do it because it sounds like fun. Encouraging words will be greatly appreciated.

Number Three: I hate research. Qualitative, quantitative...I hate it all. I am entrenched in a huge research project where I have to make up hypotheses and research questions, and then actually write out a survey that I must give to a comm. class and then collect data. wtf? I don't remember signing up for this. Well actually I do, but I didn't know it was going to be all of this. And then I have to present it at a research symposium sponsored by Lambda Pi Eta. So yeah, I'm totally not looking forward to December 16. But I am looking forward to December 18 (yea Florida!! and Greg!! and Tan-tra`!!)

Number Four: I don't think there is a Number Four, if only because I have to leave for work now.

These are just a few things that are going on in my life right now. There is so much more that I have to say, but it will have to wait for a time when I have more...time. Anyways, chip chip cheerio and all that sort of rubbish ;)
